Times Traveller Lodge - Kota Belud, Sabah

Times Traveller Lodge is located in Kota Belud, Sabah, approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu Airport. Sabah Stargazer has organized Lyrid meteor shower cum Milky Way outing at Lasau Podi on 22nd April 2017. We departed from Kota Kinabalu town late night and reached Times Traveller Lodge around 11.45pm. We left our luggage at the lodge before heading to Lasau Podi, 30 minutes drive from Times Traveller Lodge.

We stayed in a double deluxe room (upper floor accessible by stairs only) comes with a double bed, self controlled air conditioning, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, hairdryer, slippers, basic toiletries, hot/cold shower and coffee or tea making facilities (there's a hot/cold water dispenser in the corridor). Basic room with low cleanliness. Bathroom condition was poor and came with dripping tap. Luckily water was hot enough for a bath or shower. We stayed less than 7 hours at Times Traveller Lodge because we spend most of our time hunting Milky Way and Lyrid meteor shower. Basically it's just a place for us to take a rest before we continue our journey back to Kota Kinabalu the next day.

Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants. On the day of arrival, we asked our friendly Grab driver what is the must-try food in Philippines and he mentioned Jollibee. So here we at Jollibee located inside Landmark Department Store just 4 minutes (250m) walking distance from  New World Makati Hotel . We ordered 2 pieces of chicken served with rice and drink. Rice is soft. Fried chicken is crispy, flavourful and tender. It comes together with a brown gravy which taste like KFC mashed potatoes gravy. Overall it's good. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
